Introduction & Welcome 

Good morning Ladies and gentlemen!
Welcome to our 21st Annual Sports Meet. The love of the game is in my heart, which flows into the blood. The passion for playing shows in my skin, which pours out as I sweat. Playing isn't something that I do. It's a part of me.

Good Morning, everyone, I am ........................... the amplified voice from the pulpit.  It’s my privilege to stand here at the onset of our 21st Annual Sports Meet and welcome you all to witness the amazing, thrilling and exhilarating sports events. 

Now let’s start this auspicious day by invoking God’s grace and His blessings. Let’s join our hands and close our eyes for the prayer.

Prayer

This day is even more special for all of us as we are honoured by the presence of our Chief Guest, .................................., our special guests, dignitaries and invitees. On behalf of our entire institute I welcome our Chief Guest, Mr. ........................, the former Hocky player at national and International level. We are extremely privileged that he has kindly consented to grace the occasion and chosen to be among us to boost our morale. We are fortunate to have with us such a profound and prestigious personality as our Chief guest. Words can’t suffice to recount his achievements and contributions still Ms. ..............................  has made a humble effort to honour our guest, through a welcome speech.

Welcome Address

I request our Manager to welcome the chief guest with a bouquet.
I welcome all the guests and invitees who found time to witness the Sports Meet and cheer all the participants. I also welcome the faculty, participants and all the sports enthusiasts whose cheers will be audible at the maximum decibels. So let's commence the event without any further delay.

And now the moment has arrived to start the ceremonies of Sports day by hoisting the National Flag. I wish to invite our Chief Guest to unfurl the flag which is followed by the National anthem. I request everyone to stand for flag hoisting and National anthem.

Oath Taking

The torch of Sports Meet represents the high ideals and burning zeal of sportsman’s spirit, leadership, disciplined conduct and team spirit. The flame of torch burns to illuminate the world with excellence in sports and victory of noble spirit of playing together, going together and winning together. Let’s keep the flame of compassion, companionship and togetherness burning and true spirit of sportsmanship shall always win not the sportsman.  Now I request the Chief Guest to declare the Sports Meet 2012 open and hand over the torch to the Sports Minister.

The torch is carried forward by the Sports Minister and handed to the deputy sports minister with a spark of leadership in his/her eyes. Now the torch is passed on to the Captains of all the four houses. Now, the torch is placed at the pedestal from where it instil the players with an everlasting fire of sportsmanship.

I request the Chief Guest to enthuse the players, faculty and guests with his visionary thoughts, pragmatic ideas and encouraging words.  Let’s welcome our Chief Guest.

Thank u sir for doing the honour and enriching us with your valuable words. Now I request our Manager to present the chief guest a momento, a token of our love and regards.

Now, we wish to seek worthy comments and valuable suggestions of our special guest , Secretary of Zonal Sports Council, Mr. ................... Our participants look up to you to boost their morale. Let’s invite him on the stage to shower his blessings upon us and share his words of wisdom with us.

We feel blessed to have u with us and listen to you. With this we start the much awaited Meet with the 100 mt. race by the enthusiastic athletes.

Now hold your breath as the energetic and acrobatic dancers are here to set the whole atmosphere in high spirits and keep u all spellbound. I bet they are coming, to force you, tap your feet along with theirs. Please give them a huge round of applause.

WoW! that was amazing. Please put your hands together and applaud these performers whole heartedly.
Our institute always encourages the students to be the torch bearers, life-long learners and risk takers in everything they do in pursuit of excellence with cooperation and team work. 

Champions aren't made in the playground. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them -- a desire, a dream, a vision. Undoubtedly! here we have real Champions.

Let’s salute this sports spirit and award the winners of the races just played.

Prize Distribution

You and the next person want the same thing. The only thing that matters is who works smarter for it. It’s time to see who has worked hardest and give away the prizes to the winners.

Play until the ball is worn, the bat has cracked, and the grass and dirt have become one. Such player has to win. No one can stop him. It’s time to encourage such champions and their fighting spirit.

Who else could realize true meaning of team other than the players of relay race where one wins, all win, one fails, all fail.
There is no glory in practice, but without practice, there is no glory... the beauty of practice can be seen clearly when hundreds of performers put up a show on one platform. The energetic racers are ready to perform using their skill and stamina beautifully. Put your hands together for them.

What a brilliant performance! Let’s cheer them.

Rewards play a vital role in grooming such talent. Let’s not waste the opportunity and award the winners of the races played so far.

 "Setting a goal is not the main thing. It is deciding how you will go about achieving it and staying with that plan." With this undying hope we reach the conclusion of the Sports Meet.

I hope you all enjoyed the event. At the close of the event. I call upon ............ to propose vote of thanks.

Beating the Retreat   

Our Sports Meet has reached its culmination with pride and glory. There we can see balloons soaring into the sky. They are scattered telling the success story of this Sports Meet and making the sky colourful and atmosphere ecstatic.
Every other dawn tells the story of the night that passed. Each new record is made breaking the previous record and new stars rise outshining old stars. Same story will be repeated in the next Sports Meet where you will find more enthusiasm, more thrill and more romance. More sportspersons will shine and more medals will be won. With this promise  Fare thee well for now and meet again next year with rejuvenated zeal. Good bye and take a very good care of yourselves.   
Now I would like to request our manager to close this big event and bless us with his guiding words and noble ideas.
